Scenario:

Subscribe free plan and the period is from 01/05/2026 – 31/05/2026.

When renew to purchased headcount, the duration change to current date:

Answer:

The original subscription was created under the Free Plan, which comes with its own predefined validity period (for example: 01/05/2026 – 31/05/2026). During this stage, the account is considered to be using a trial/free subscription entitlement.

When the subscription is later renewed by purchasing headcount or upgrading to a paid plan, the system treats this as a new active paid subscription. As part of this process, the subscription period is automatically regenerated based on the date of the upgrade/purchase transaction.

Because of that:

    • The previous free-plan duration will no longer be maintained.

    • The new subscription period will start from the current purchase/activation date.

    • The system replaces the free subscription timeline with the paid subscription timeline to ensure accurate billing, entitlement tracking, and license allocation.

This behavior is expected because:

    • Free plans are considered temporary or trial-based periods.

    • Paid subscriptions require a fresh billing cycle and entitlement calculation.

    • The system standardizes the subscription start date based on the actual payment/upgrade date.

Therefore, once the account is converted from a free plan to a paid plan, the subscription duration will automatically change accordingly.
