This guide will explain the differences between Flat Approval and Sequential Approval in Approval Settings.


Flat Approval: Single level approval setting. All approvers (if more than one approver is assigned) are required to approve a request

Sequential Approval: Multi-level approval setting. When more than one approver is assigned, the first approver has to approve a request before the application is assigned to the second approver and then the subsequent approver.
